Re: Song Cover-Versions & Originals
I prefer this original version of the song to its more popular cover.

Re: Song Cover-Versions & Originals
^ Yeah, I prefer the orginal. It's already a slow and sad song. That G.Michael/Slayer one is pretty cool Sary, I'd not seen it before. Another Abba song, this time covered by Swedish metal band Therion:

Re: Song Cover-Versions & Originals
I think that I like the Therion version very better. I have never been much of an abba fan.
Keeping along the lines of a lead female singer, Heart came to mind.
I was trying to find a good cover of a Heart song but it was not easy.
Ann Wilson has a very beautiful voice.
This father daughter do a good job.

Re: Song Cover-Versions & Originals
I only know a couple of Heart songs but I like that one. 70s hairstyles are cool. The cover's okay.

Wow, that is a beautiful cover of Hotel California.
I had never heard of the Harp Twins, they look like angels.
So pretty.
Joan Jett, another excellent female rocker and she can really play that guitar.
I think that I like her version better than the original.
Haha again with the cool hair style...it was very popular look back in the day!

Re: Song Cover-Versions & Originals
Did you see the Runaways film a few years ago? I posted the trailer in the appropiate thread.
Quite a contrast with this cover by . . . "Cadaveria, real name Raffaella Rivarolo (born 31 May 1972), is an Italian musician famous for being one of the first women to enter the extreme metal scene in the early 1990s"

Re: Song Cover-Versions & Originals
Nope, I never saw the movie The Runaways .
I like Kristen Stewart and she does bare a resemblance to Joan Jett, I will have to watch it some day, maybe on Netflix.
I like the Blondie version of call me better.
This Pat Benatar song is the best, the metal version sounds distorted.
When we were teenagers, my girlfriends and I would sing this song on the top of our lungs every time it would come on the radio. It
was one of our favorites!

Re: Song Cover-Versions & Originals
I really like Heartbreaker; I've either heard it before or something modelled on it. In that case I think the metal version is inferior.
This must easily be one of the top 20 classic heavy rock/metal songs:

This song popped into my head and I can't get it out! It has a very catchy tune.
An oldie but a goodie, both versions are very good.

I started with the Christmas decorating this weekend and one of my ornaments is a cute little fox. This song popped into my head.
