Two songs from the Christmas record of my childhood:

And this by Greek band Orion's Reign with Norwegian singer Minniva:

Re: Now listening to . . .
Joy to the World is well suited for metal, it makes the song sound even more powerful and moving than the way it was originally composed.
Two Christmas songs that come to mind when I think of my childhood.
The original Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, by the singing cowboy Gene Autry.
The Twelve Days of Christmas was always a fun song to try and sing as a child. A real brain exercise trying to remember so many gifts and all in the correct order!
I like this Ray Conniff recording of the song from the swinging 60’s.

Re: Now listening to . . .
Last night I discovered an Ozzy Osbourne song I'd not known about. Wikipedia:
Ozzy Osbourne Live EP is a live EP released by Ozzy Osbourne in 1980. The EP contains live versions of the songs "Mr. Crowley" and "Suicide Solution", originally released on the 1980 studio album Blizzard of Ozz, as well as the previously unreleased track "You Said It All", all performed at a 1980 live performance in Southampton, England.
After performing a show in Birmingham, the band hastily returned to Ridge Farm Studio to remix the song "Goodbye to Romance" for an anticipated single release. The next morning they were informed that the plan had changed and Jet Records instead wanted a brand new song to release as a single. Rhoads, Daisley, and Kerslake quickly put together the song "You Said It All", with drummer Kerslake performing the guide vocal at soundcheck while a drunken Osbourne slept under the drum riser. The plans to record a studio version of "You Said It All" were soon scrapped for unknown reasons, and this live version is the only known recording.

Re: Now listening to . . .
We had a nice snow storm the other day and it made me think of this song, with a double meaning . . .
It is always so nice when you get to hear new material from classic bands. Now with AI who knows what will be next!
A favorite by Led Zeppelin
An oldie but a goody by the Kinks, just change the words to snowy and winter

Re: Now listening to . . .
All good songs. I love the melody in Sunny Afternoon.
I used to keep a list of the one, two or three songs I liked from albums that I generally wasn't keen on, with the intention of making a series of compilations called Salvaged Gems. I haven't got round to it so far but I can use the list as inspiration for posting on this thread. The first three gems:

Very cool project Nk, looking forward to hearing more
I especially like the Alice Cooper song.
A one hit wonder from the 1980’s
An old Uriah Heep song that has a little bit of metal to it, mixed in with psychedelic rock. They have a very signature sound that is easily identifiable.

Re: Now listening to . . .
I remember Aldo Nova having an album called Blood On The Bricks and I think it got quite good reviews. The Uriah Heep song is quite metallic, and their song Gypsy from 1970 was the next strictly heavy metal song released after the Black Sabbath debut a few months earlier.

Re: Now listening to . . .
That’s some serious guitar playing on the Alison Hell song!
Two Salvaged Gems that I’d never heard before and probably never would have if you didn’t post them. It’s always fun hearing unfamiliar songs and then discovering how much you like them, adds a little variety. It’s easy to get stuck in a rut listening to the same songs over and over again. I listen to the radio a lot and that sometimes happens.
I almost posted Take On Me awhile back, it’s a great 1980’s classic.
Another great pop song from the same era.
A rousing Irish folk song by The Clancy Brothers, in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day
