Re: Now listening to . . .
I have been singing this song today. A very appropriate song, seeing that today is Ash Wednesday.

Re: Now listening to . . .
I love the eighties too. But, I like the newer take on it a little better. I find it's more polished.
Anyway, this song has nothing to do with the 80s. XD

Re: Now listening to . . .
Two more songs from different styles of 1980s rock music, Van Halen and Pink Floyd.
I use to go to a lot of concerts, but never did get to see either band.
Pink Floyd is genius.
The 1980 put out a lot of great music and I loved the glamorous dramatic style of dress.
I felt bad when the grunge of the 1990s began.

The video of the Scorpions is not available
A song from a Dutch band, popular in the 1980s Golden Earring!
This song still gets a lot of air play here in the USA.

Hmm. The song I know Golden Earring for is this one:
Another song called Twilight Zone by Iron Maiden. The lyrics tell a little ghost story:

Re: Now listening to . . .
Golden Earring is definitely one of those underrated band. I first remember Twilight Zone being played on MTV, back in the 1980s., I am a little surprised that they were not more popular in Europe..
One more, from the 1970s..

I really like the Iron Maiden Twilight Zone song. Strangely, I tried to download it from iTunes, but they did not have it.

Re: Now listening to . . .
Quite a different sounding song with the same name:
Here's that Scorpions song you couldn't receive before. It's quite commercial but one of their best:

Re: Now listening to . . .
The first part of this song was the theme music to a British TV children's programme called Rainbow. The full version has a surprising mood change in the middle:
Between the velvet lies, there's a truth that's hard as steel

Re: Now listening to . . .
That is very sophisticated music, for a children’s program.
The characters look like muppets but I do not recognize them.
I heard this song today and it brought back memories.
Badfinger was a great band,so tragic in the end.
