^ I quite enjoyed that. It's surprising how many artists turn out to be your liking when you've assumed they won't be. It reminded me of this I was listening to the other night. The original is famous of course.

Oh wow, I like that song by Lullacry, I will have to listen to more of their music.
I am getting quite the education in heavy metal!
Today,I was listening to this newly released song by Joe Strummer.
It is ok, I think I liked him better with the Clash.

Re: Now listening to . . .
My computer studies teacher at high school liked The Clash and had posters on the walls of his favourite bands. The punkiest band I like are Bad Religion.

Re: Now listening to . . .
I played the acoustic version of Ace of Spades for some of my friends. All agree that the slowed down version is better than the original .
Punk rock for me, is good in small measure. It is a little too raw and rebel for me.
Still listening to Stevie Ray Vaughan

Re: Now listening to . . .
I've never been a fan of punk per se, but I can like it as an influence or just occasionaly for a change. Do you have that children's song Nellie the Elephant in America? This is a humourous punk version:Sary wrote:Punk rock for me, is good in small measure. It is a little too raw and rebel for me.

Whoa... That is one skinny dude!
No, I never heard of Nellie the Elephant, only Babar and Dumbo.
I like these two Punk Rock songs. I think a big part of it is the attitude!

That reminded me very much of a piano piece by Enya. I'm not sure but I think it's this one:

I like that song, Just like Heaven, it brings back memories. The Cure was a great band...I wonder what ever happened to them?
The other two songs are pretty. The videos of nature that go along with the music are very inspirational.
Jethro Tull's music always makes me think of the rolling green hills of the U.K.
This next band Goodbye June, I just discovered. They remind me a little bit of Aerosmith. Good old Rock and Roll!

I've not finished with punk yet. I assume you know the original version of this song:

Yes, I am familiar with the original version of the Banana Splits, Sid and Marty Krofft were genius. This is the perfect song to listen to, if you are having a bad day. It makes me smile
Suzi Quatro is very original, but I still like Joan Jett better. I never heard that song before. Great outfits!
This old David Bowie video makes me think that , he may have invented punk music!
This song was recorded a good 5 years before Punk music became a thing.
He experimented in so many many genres, such a talented performer!
Another one gone too soon.

^ Yeah, that is definitely punky. Skid Row's cover of Psycho Therapy, originally by The Ramones:
