Re: Now listening to . . .
Congratulations to both King Charles III and Queen Camilla on their coronation. A lot of people don’t care for Camilla because of Charles and her past but when I see pictures of them together, the way they look at at each other, it’s obvious that they are still very much in love.
A couple of songs by the Moody Blues:
Their choice of Katy Perry and Lionel Ritchie to perform at the coronation was a little disappointing . . . they’re not even British

Ronnie James Dio and Black Sabbath warning about computers taking over (the kind of warnings I think we should be taking seriously):
A similar themed song from Alice Cooper, but this one seems to be more about the dehumanizing effect of excessive industrialisation:

Re: Now listening to . . .
I really like Lake of Tears, it has a lot of emotion to it and I am a sucker for power ballads.
A few random songs that I recently heard on the radio.
It’s a Heartache by Bonnie Tyler, I’d like to dedicate to my son. His (first) girlfriend recently broke up with him and his is crushed. He has a very tender heart and is really taking it badly.
Next up a quirky little song from the 1970’s that always brings a smile to my face.
And finally another power ballad , a number one hit from the summer of 1986 that I think has stood the test of time.

Re: Now listening to . . .
The Bonnie song is pretty good, with its country-western flavour. The Cutting Crew hit reminds me of a song by Magnum called Steal Your Heart, but this is a better one from the same album:
One of the best Vixen songs:
The 70s song brings to mind "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree"

We had a rainy July 4th this year so the firework displays were rescheduled for this weekend . . . I can hear them now.
Of all the patriotic songs that I know this is my favorite, Stars and Stripes Forever by John Philip Sousa:

Re: Now listening to . . .
Didn’t We Meet does have a different sound than other Alice Cooper songs you have posted. It reminds me of Welcome to My Nightmare, more playful and whimsical.
Changes by Black Sabbath is another song, it is not their usual sound without the heavy guitar and drums. I think it is a beautiful, simple but poignant ballad.
And one more, a more traditional sounding Ozzy song

Ozzy’s voice sounds totally different singing that song, never would’ve guessed.
Another one from the Scorpions that I like.

Re: Now listening to . . .
I always remembered a friend singing "an inch is better than a mile in the right direction" from some song when I wasn't into music. A few weeks ago I searched the internet and found out what it was:

Re: Now listening to . . .
I’ve listened to Now And Then a few times, the recently completed John Lennon song. I think it is a good song, probably not one of their best, but to hear new music that was completed by the surviving Beatles along with the sentimental video . . . it makes the song very special with a magical feeling to it.
Another song by Lennon that I really like, this one featuring Elton John on back up vocals.
I woke up way too early the other morning and turned the radio on low. Bob Dylan, The Times Times They Are A-Changin’ came on and I got all choked up and teary eyed.
And I wasn’t quite sure why.

Re: Now listening to . . .
A couple of unusual Christmas songs that really should get more air play. After a while hearing the same holiday songs played over and over again can get very tiring!
The Bell That Couldn’t Jingle was written by the late Burt Bacharach, who died earlier this year. He wrote it in the early 1960’s. The song has been covered by quite a few artists, I like Herb Alpert’s version best.
December Will Be Magic by Kate Bush is a quirky little song that I heard for the first time just a few days ago. The more I listen to it, the more I like it.
Kate’s performance is endearing, classic in her own special way.
