We've started showing the kids some of the more family friendly skits and shorts, and bits from movies. My daughter loves the scene in the Holy Grail where they go to the French castle and the French throw them a cow.

^ The comedy gore in that was used similarly in one of their sketches which combined the style of film director Sam Peckinpah with an upper class English scenario:

Peckinpah's use of violence was parodied by Monty Python in Sam Peckinpah's "Salad Days", one of the more controversial episodes of Monty Python's Flying Circus, in which a lovely day out for an upper-class English family turns into a blood-soaked orgy of severed limbs and gushing wounds. Peckinpah reportedly loved this sketch and enjoyed showing it to friends and family.

I hope that they will come out with Life of Brian wine next, I would definitely buy some!
The label could say...Always look on the bright side of life or maybe blessed are the cheese makers.

It is too bad that we can no longer see some of the posted videos.

Yeah, I prefer Holy Grail, but Life of Brian is more sophisticated. This scene is characteristic of Python's intellectual side but still has the absurdity:

I was not going to post it...but it is the funniest part of the movie!
I laugh my head off every time!
It is good thing they added the subtitles because a British accent is hard enough to understand ,once they get going.
The lisp adds another layer of funny!

Of all MP movies, The Meaning of Life really is their best, top of their game. Funny and absurd but at the same time truthful and surreal
