Post a painting that reflects your inner personality
I, personally, always felt drawn to paintings like this by the German artist Caspar David Friedrich:
Or something like this:
That conveys a sense of realism with natural scenic beauties.
Always striving to experience new things in life, inner peace and experiencing nature in its natural state, etc.

Good thought-provoking question. It would be something which combined natural beauty with drama and maybe an element of fantasy. I won't pretend to know much about the world of art, so I'll have to have a look . . .

I saw the thread title and I came to post this painting.
For me it's one of the best painting ever. I don't get why people are in extase in front of the joconde who hasn't anything exceptionnal compare to this one.

Re: Post a painting that reflects your inner personality
This reflects one side of my personality:

And this another side:
The combination of stone building and woodland gives me a feeling of 'completeness' ? Something like that. Harmony, maybe.

I have a reproduction of this Renior painting. I have always been drawn to it
It is so full of life,I like to imagine myself sitting with those people enjoying a beautiful summer day.

'The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piercing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.
