Came out in 1990 and ends with the lyrics "Can you be happy now your people are free?" I suppose they are still not really free.

One of Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson's solo songs. Beautiful lyrics, I think:

I’m afraid they never will be free.
This song is fantastic. Its lyrics is really beautiful, it’s mystical, well-written, and meaningful, unlike most of the new hits on the radio.

I discovered them recently. Smile 1 Youtube suggested this song and the song title made me curious.

That's an epic song. I know at least three other good songs called Gypsy, one of which is this:

They say that it is a difficult song to play,it is experimental music innovative, dreamy, genius.
Seeing the notes ,the melody along with the lyric take it to the next level. Weird

I also like " I am only sleeping ",kinda old fashioned, but another great song from Revolver.

I have been listening to the Beatles station on the siriusxm radio, remembering John Lennon.

Jerusalem being in the news reminded me of this song:

They are the victims of the night
Ride against the wind, born to loose the fight
They fill the doorways, they come far
Holding what they bring, details on a card
And on a rainy night like this
Someone shuts the door, goodbye on there lips

[Repeat]

There is no charity from where they come
There's nothing left to be
In stark reality thy will be done
For you, for them, for me

How far Jerusalem, before the heart breaks down
No kings amongst them, cold feet in London town
How far Jerusalem, oh broken hearted clown
We stand among them, cold feet in London town

They are in search of Liberty's trail
Equal in their eyes, faces drawn and pale
So many hearts have gone before
Probably ignored, crashing to the floor
They are the victims of the night
Ride against the wind, born to loose the fight
There is no charity from where they come
There's nothing left to be
In stark reality thy will be done
For you, for them, for me

How far Jerusalem, before the heart breaks down
No kings amongst them, cold feet in London town
How far Jerusalem, oh broken hearted clown
We stand among them, cold feet in London town
