Hot choice! I imagine he was one of Alice Cooper's influences.Sary wrote:One more, from the great Arthur Brown.
See if you can get the Alice song from any of the others on the YT list:

It's the witching hour right now where I am, so another two from me:

Re: Now listening to . . .
I know a song about freedom. And it's called, oddly enough . . .
Between the velvet lies, there's a truth that's hard as steel

Re: Now listening to . . .
Freedom is an odd name for that song, maybe Anarchy or a real bad case of teenage Angst would better describe that feeling? It is his song and Alice Cooper is free to call his music what ever he wants. He has nice teeth.
I like this cover from the Who,with a southern rock twist.

Yeah, it's a teenage rebel anthem really. I don't know about his teeth but when asked how he kept slim and fit he said he just walked a lot. I once got a runner-up prize in a competition to meet Alice Cooper.Sary wrote:Freedom is an odd name for that song, maybe Anarchy or a real bad case of teenage Angst would better describe that feeling? No kidding.....if you don't mind me asking, what kind competition was it?
He does look good for his age,he obviously takes care of himself. Welcome to My Nightmare is probably my favorite song of his.

Entrants had to describe what it would be like to meet Alice, or spend an evening with him - something like that. I wrote something very close to: "It would be like going around the Garden of Eden with the Serpent as guide." I'm not sure what prize I got but it could have been an autographed photo.
When I first got into Alice Cooper I had a hell of a lot of albums to catch up with and I bought one every month whilst also collecting the back catalogues of the Scorpions and Deep Purple.

This music is very far from Alice Cooper, but I discovered this old song on Youtube, I love it. I was a little child when I watched the movie.

Came out in 1990 and ends with the lyrics "Can you be happy now your people are free?" I suppose they are still not really free.
One of Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson's solo songs. Beautiful lyrics, I think:
