Where Germans migrate to (top 10)

Post Neon Knight on Wed 16 Aug - 21:09

https://www.thelocal.de/20170810/here-are-the-top-countries-where-germans-immigrate-to

Each year, more than 100,000 Germans leave the country to live elsewhere in the world, according to the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).

In 2015, which was a record year for both immigration and emigration in Germany, just under 140,000 German citizens moved abroad. The country that received the highest number of German immigrants was Switzerland with more than 18,266 people, followed by the United States with 13,438 people. Austria came in third at 10,239 German immigrants.

1. Switzerland: 18,266
2. United States of America: 13,438
3. Austria: 10,239
4. United Kingdom: 8,917
5. Turkey: 6,750
6. Spain: 6,216
7. France: 5,863
8. Poland: 5,536
9. Australia: 3,523
10. Netherlands: 3,384

Still, there are more people coming to Germany than there are people leaving the country.

About 2.14 million people moved to Germany between 2014 and 2015, including many asylum seekers, EU citizens and Germans who had been living in another country, according to the most recent immigration data released by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF). During this time, the number of people who left Germany reached about 1 million, though the vast majority of them were non-German citizens.

I would say for ethnically native/partially descended Germans; its good that not too many Germans are leaving because they are standing strong for their country. Like the article says, the proportion of non-ethnic Germans is using Germany as a gateway to immigrating to other places in the West and vice versa. I just hope there is a remedy to stopping/ending all this unneeded/huge immigration crisis in the West back from where they came from with all these refugees outstaying their welcome.

'The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piercing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age. For genuine war refugees, it should be: "You can stay here for a while but you will never be a full citizen and any children you have here must go back with you, even if they are half British/German/French/Italian, etc."
