Spanish police have confirmed a rented truck has struck a crowd on a popular tourist street in central Barcelona in what they are calling a “coordinated terrorist attack”, with authorities confirming 13 dead and over 100 injured.
Update, 21:03 PM EST:  Police confirm four deaths and a fifth terror suspect injured in the attack, stating that the situation is now “under control” but the operation has not concluded

Its a shame... I hope whomever allows such unsavory, mindless foreign threats in are ashamed of themselves just because they want to be more "humanitarian" or  "politically correct." They do the citizens no favors besides their own selfish gain when it doesn't personally affect them. The blood of these unnecessary deaths of law-abiding citizens are on their hands for their cowardice.  The burden of proof resides in the fact of their discriminatory reforms and censoring, biased media platforms.

The wiser among us shall persevere and defy such folly; while enablers, beneficiaries or threats to a country's peace face justice for what they brought upon us in due time when their own distorted needs need to be counterbalanced through the natural process of checks and balances.

More than 720 people have been detained in Spain in connection with “jihadi terrorism” since the carnage in Madrid, and almost a quarter of the 178 people arrested for terrorism-related activities over the past three years are from Barcelona. A recent study from West Point’s Combating Terrorism Center found that the main nationalities of those arrested were Moroccan (42.7%) and Spanish (41.5%).

Although most are thought to have been radicalised by the war in Syria, some jihadists find Spain a peculiarly atavistic target because of the country’s 700-year-long period of Moorish occupation. Islamic State was quick to look to the past and claim credit for the Barcelona attack, trumpeting: “Terror is filling the crusaders’ hearts in the Land of Andalusia.” . . .

Unlike most European countries, Spain has not seen the emergence of a large-scale, far-right party that seeks to exploit anxieties about immigration and Islam.

The Catalan chant that rang around Barcelona’s main square after the minute’s silence on Friday lunchtime hinted at residents’ resolve. “No tinc por”, they shouted – “I am not afraid”. Or, as Puigdemont put it a little later: “We are determined to win against terrorism with the best weapon that our society has and that is solidarity, freedom, respect.”

Let's see if being victims in first person of islamic terrorism will bring some poilitical changes in Spain, like the appereance of some kind of anti-immigration anti-globalization party with enough appeal to reach the parliament for example.

But honestly, I think it's quite improbable.

What is highly probable is culturl-marxists will pissing over our graves, and some time after muslims and africans will pissing over graves of cultural-marxists, and we will be more finished that the old spanish empire.

We (Europe and the West) have a generation of politicians who are committed to the principle that people should not be discriminated against because of their race and religion, probably because they assume that to do so 'would lead to another Holocaust'. It's a cultural neurosis, an over-reaction to a past negative event. Not that I agree with everything he says, but I really like this quote from Varg Vikernes:

"The 'nazi ghost' has scared millions of Europeans from caring about their blood and homeland for sixty years now, and it is about time we banish this ghost and again start to think and care about the things that (whether we like it or not) are important to us."
