I've uploaded my DNA info to GEdmatch, but I'm overwhelmed by the number of ancestry tests and subtests. They seem to give me some wildly divergent results.
So which one would be considered decent for someone with my heritage, which is basically s. europe?

GEDmatch is interesting but I think a lot of genetics hobbyists put too much faith in it. The fact that the different tests can give quite different results shows that none of them is super-accurate. A good test works well for everyone, or at least everyone from a certain region like Europe.
Having said that, the most popular ones (and which I found to be okay) are:
Eurogenes K13
Eurogenes K15
Eurogenes EU Test
MDLP K23b Oracle 4
If I didn't know anything about my ancestry, I would have thought from 23andMe that I was British and/or Irish (true), but if I had then put faith in the various GEDmatch tests I would have concluded that I was probably 1/4 Dutch or German as well (false).
But I would be interested to see how you come out on those oracles.

Alright, thanks. Yeah, some of the tests were giving me strange hits - Pacific Islander, New Guinea, South Asia?

I did up load my 23 and me results to Ged match,but it is all mumbo jumbo to me.
I like how 23 and me keeps it simple for the amateurs
