I like the artwork on the Mastodon album, Leviathan. The great white whale rising to the surface of the sea and breaking through the water is a powerful image. The waves I think are an homage to the Japanese print, The Great Wave off Kanazawa.
Hair of the Dog was an album that I once owned, I always thought that it had a cool cover.

Nazareth was a fairly popular band here, back in the late 1970’s/80’s. I was surprised to learn that they are a Scottish band and not from America.
I like all of the songs on the album, Miss Misery is probably the “heaviest “.

I've heard of Nazareth. They sound like a combination of Led Zep and AC/DC. Pretty good song!
Two albums I own with Japanese/Oriental style covers:

A traditional Western fantasy dragon on this Dio album cover. I like how the Dio logo seems to have been ignited by the dragon's fire:

I'm not familiar with this band's music (apparently they were British, and listening now, it's pomp rock similar to Magnum) but this cover is one of the strangest and scariest I've seen, like something from a surreal nightmare:

That cover is very scary, he looks like a creature from a dreamscape or hell!
It took me a while, but I did come across this cover art of a dragon.
It is an album of cover songs, some of the songs are pretty good.
Nowhere to Run, the original by Martha and the Vandellas, has a good beat.

Three dramatic and colourful covers by the Christian metal band Stryper:
The Isiah 53:5 Bible verse says: "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." 'Stripes' apparently refers to Christ's wounds from being whipped.
