Shirley is so young in that clip and dressed as a nun, it is hard to recognize her!

My dad loved Clint Eastwood , I grew up watching westerns.
My two favorite CE movies from way back are Hang 'Em High and High Plains Drifter.
I remember watching this scene as a very young child, it is burned into my memory.

There's not a Clint Eastwood Western film I don't like, and High Plains Drifter is my fave after the 'Dollars trio' by Sergio Leone. Pale Rider was on a similar theme, strongly hinting at divine intervention:

There's a book I've been meaning to get for ages about the Reconquista by Osprey Publishing. I've got quite a few of their military history books. They have good illustrations like this:

The first time I watched The Trap was with my grandmother, on an old fashioned black and white television.  She loved this movie with Oliver Reed, set in the Canadian wilderness.
I remember being very frightened by this scene.

I rewatched it a few years back and it is a really good movie but probably not appropriate for young children.

Children can get very absorbed in films and, yes, I think the age certificates are there for good reason. Oliver Reed seemed to be a bit of a scary character, but those who knew him well said he liked to play up to people's expectations.

The TV series Grange Hill was a fairly realistic portrayal of English comprehensive schools and essential viewing for many children. This scene shows the tension between authority and compassion. The adults don't really want to punish the girl but they feel they have to:

In this sequence, fairness wins out over authority, albeit in a violent manner:

Two scenes with Jack Nicholson acting in his characteristic style:
