Re: Classic TV Theme Music
My mother use to watch Hawaii Five O and Mission Impossible, those two shows were on 10:00, before Johnny Carson. I never stayed up to watched them, but i do remember the theme song.
Spider-Man and Batman are boy shows
I use to like to watch The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family, Bewitched, Gilligians Island
And another favorite......The Monkeys!
Reruns ofc

Re: Classic TV Theme Music
Two more popular TV shows from the 1960s. WWW and F Troop were two of my dads favorites, so I watched them too.
The western genre was very popular in that era, both in TV and movies.
Every now and then I watch The Wild Wild West on YouTube. Dr. Lovelace is the best!
F Troop is so funny

I'd not heard of those two shows but I've seen Rawhide and as a kid I liked watching old repeats of this:

These are my next two favourite themes which I find quite addictive when playing them on YouTube:

I never heard of any of those shows, they all look good, I would have watched the UFO one for sure!
I have always liked science fiction, I grew up watching lots of Star Trek

Re: Classic TV Theme Music
Star Trek seemed a bit more 'grown up' than other TV sci-fi and I only started watching it properly in my mid-teens. Another sci-fi series by Gerry & Sylvia Anderson (known for Thunderbirds, etc.):

On Saturday mornings my sisters and I use to love watching Land of the Lost.
A+ opening theme, it doesn't get better than Syd and Marty Krofft
Another time travel series that I use to enjoy watching way back when.

Re: Classic TV Theme Music
That LotL music reminds me of The Beverly Hillbillies I saw most of the Quantum Leap episodes and they were good. It got less believable at the end though with the supernatural element - I generally don't like sci fi being mixed with fantasy.
One of the eeriest theme tunes I've known was for The Tomorrow People, about a team of teenagers with psychic powers:
Speaking of eerie:

Re: Classic TV Theme Music
There were so many quality shows back I the 1960s and 70s.
I don't really watch much tv these days, most of it is too violent for my taste.
Most of the ones that you are posting, I have never heard of
The Beverly hillbillies had a great theme song.
Lol we knew every word.

Re: Classic TV Theme Music
Yes I remember those two shows, but I never watched them.
Scott Baio was a teen idol for girls a little bit younger. He never really appealed to me.
Greatest American Hero has a good theme song, it is very recognizable .
I use watch these two sitcoms. I have always been a fan of Tom Hanks, he can be very funny!
Get a life, I remember as being weird, you either love it or hate it.
Both themes are famous songs in their own right, not necessarily associated with the television show.

I don’t remember watching the Pink Panther, but he is definitely one cool cat with that car!
Road Runner is another good one with a catchy tune.
The HR Pufnstuf song /show is a favorite!

Re: Classic TV Theme Music
Roadrunner is quality comedy - bathos. Pufnstuf looks quite wacky, typical of children's shows then.
Two series that looked back to simpler times:
