Love this video, the song does not sound dated.
They are keeping it relevant for new generations

This song too ,it stands the test of time.
i love the video, the Americana visual and the old footage of the band .
It is little racy, even by today's standards!

I thought you meant the video was racy so I was a bit dissapointed by it So now we'll have to have an actual racy video . . .Sary wrote: This song too ,it stands the test of time.

I meant the racy lyrics...you know, when he sings about squeezing the lemon. For men, I guess it is all about the visual
Goth thug, that is hilarious
I think that Steven Tyler is racy!

Re: Now listening to . . .
I always considered goths to be the effeminate and less devoted cousins of metalheads. They would only have two or three favourite bands whereas the metal fan would know many bands and the goths also seemed to be as interested in the fashion as the music.
This is my favourite Aerosmith song:

Re: Now listening to . . .
It would be difficult for me to pick a favorite Aerosmith song, they have so many good ones. Maybe Sweet Emotion.
I was not sure what exactly makes a song or artist gothic,so I googled it. I did not recognize many of the artists listed.
This song by The Cure is nice, I had not heard it in a while, melancholy ,gothic but very beautiful.
My girlfriends do not like my new interest in metal music. I tried playing some the other night and it was quickly rejected and replaced with Lisa Lisa and the cult jam

I'm all too familiar with those kinds of reactions. It can be hard being one of the few enlightened ones in a world of mediocre musical taste . . . but it makes you specialSary wrote:My girlfriends do not like my new interest in metal music. Re: Now listening to . . .
For one of my teen birthdays I bought myself that Ozzy album, Diary Of A Madman, along with Iron Maiden's Piece Of Mind. This song from POM is inspired by the film of the same name: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0065207/
Very Boy's Own! This is one of Maiden's most popular songs:

This is a bit different to what I usually listen to but I really like it:

Re: Now listening to . . .
I love the simplicity of this little video. Just Joey Tempest (of Europe) playing an acoustic guitar and singing along without any technology:

This grand funk railroad song is a good one, more psychedelic rock. An oldie but a goodie
That Metallica is too strong and fast, it makes me anxious!

You mean Iron Maiden? Where Eagles Dare is fairly fast, but at about the same time Metallica had songs like this:Sary wrote:This grand funk railroad song is a good one, more psychedelic rock. An oldie but a goodie

American Band is a good song. It was covered by Poison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NU8XT6cgsVI

Re: Now listening to . . .
I am sorry. Yes, I meant Iron Maiden not Metallica I always mix those two bands up, they sound very similar to me ....heavy heavy metal.
I like the Poison cover of American Band, 1980s style.
Two other bands that I would always confuse are Poison with Skid Row. Then I saw Skid Row in concert. They were the backup band for Aerosmith......a long time ago!
Pretty boy glam metal music.
