Street Art in Paris

Post Aëlwenn on Wed 9 Aug - 1:04

Working in a creative and passionate environment of architecture, I am open to any form of art.
I prepare different topic on the subject, as well as new views on European cities, and the idea came to me to share a type of art little mention on forums like this: the Street art.
Whether you like it or not, it is a very marked urban artistic form, testifying to the dynamism of a city.

The pictures are not all from me, but they all come from Paris.
I have some photos in reserve taken by me even when I lived in Paris.

I hope you will like, and later I will also post other artistic form, more classic if I may say so.

The pictures are great. Thumb-Up  Thumb-Up

I had some biais against street art for obvious reasons.
But when I go to Berlin, I saw some beautiful painting there. As far as I remember the city has a reputation in this field. I now enjoy it a bit, or at least have nothing against the good one.

Here some pictures I took of stuff I enjoyed. Sorry the pictures aren't of great quality

It's like tattoos on buildings instead of on the human body. And gives me similar feelings - some styles I like, some I don't; some pictures blend in well, others look like they don't belong there.

Yeah Berlin was famous for her street art scene .

Well,I did see many murals ,street art and graffiti while in Philadelphia, some of it was beautiful while others were ugly, and angry.
What really resonated with me was when we drove out to Lancaster. Lancaster Pennsylvania still has a large population of Amish and Pennsylvanian Dutch . They decorate their barns with hex signs. Some of the signs are painted directly onto the barns and are quite large and very beautiful.
They are meant to protect and bless the family farm, bring abundance and fertility
