Two films starring the great Vincent Price:

I remember watching Logan's Run when it first came out ,and thinking that 30 years old was so very old for a human. It is a great movie, I vaguely remember the TV series.

I think that science fiction is probably my favorite movie genre, I especially like the older films without all of the special effects and loud sound.

Two more great films , from the 1970s.  I love Charlton Heston!

I think special effects tend to be over-used now in sci-fi and superhero films, and I don't always find the computer-generated images convincing.

Planet of the Apes is quite violent. Soylent Green reminded me by some train of thought of this:

Michael York was in another sci-fi type film:

Are some of these ideas coming true?

I'm only familiar with one other film starring Julia Roberts:

^ great movie, an all star cast and they even show an EEG! I thought the movie was older .

I remember when Julia called off her real life wedding to Kiefer, in 1991. I guess they still remained friends and used that chemistry on stage.

I've always liked Kevin Bacon.  He had such a boyish look, when he was younger.
Tremors is kind of campy, but it is scary non the less !

Johnny Depp too, he has been in so many good movies over the years.

Tremors was a film I didn't fancy but when I finally saw it on TV it was good. Haven't seen E.S. It's popular with goths. I recognised Dianne Wiest in that trailer because she was in The Lost Boys:

The Lost Boys was very good but, my favorite vampire movie has to be Interview with a Vampire.
I read a few of Anne Rice's books too, I like her sexy gothic style...not TOO scary!

I like movies that portray animals as terrifying.

Jaws was a huge summer blockbuster.
Most of the moms would not allow their children to go see it.
Everyone was afraid to go in the ocean!

I liked Interview WTV but I don't remember much about it. I'll always like that kind of setting and atmosphere. Jaws is the one of the great classics that should never be re-made. Jaws 2 was good as well. From the same era:

I did not like the chestburster scene in Alien , that  movie was was too scary for me!
I liked Blade Runner, with Harrison Ford.

Two more films with familiar faces, great sound tracks and lots of laughs LOL 1
The late 1950-early 1960s would have been a good era, to come of age.

No, I'm not one for very gory scenes myself but Alien is a classy thriller. This film is a close cousin of Animal House:

This is also set in the 1960s but is more serious. Some famous names:
